Dr David S Bathory, Psy.D.

Dr Bathory is a licensed psychologist, who has experience working with all ages. He holds a BA in Psychology from the State University of New York, College at Purchase and earned his Doctorate in Psychology from The Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. Dr Bathory provides clinical services, such as evaluations/assessments and psychotherapy, conducts research and consultations, and lectures and presentations throughout the world.

Dr. Bathory has multiple published works in the fields of psychology, behavioral economics, education and art. He frequently lectures at conferences and at Universities in the USA and internationally. He is an invited Field Study Participant for the World Health Organization on Diagnostic Categories for ICD-11, a member of the American Psychological Association, the World Association for Transgender Healthcare and serves as a board member for TransMentors International. He volunteers his time and office to provide support and co-facilitated the transgender support groups affiliated with  North Star GBLTQ Center of Winston Salem.

Dr. Bathory specializes his practice in 4 areas; Psychological Trauma, Neuropsychology & IDD, Gender Identity, and Redesigning Healthcare Systems.

He offers individual and group psychotherapy to help people to overcome their history of trauma and abuse and solutions to nations to overcome complex psychological trauma (such as wars or disasters) through a variety of interventions (Solution Focused Therapy, EMDR, Depth Therapy and Relational Dynamics).

His practice in neuropsychology focuses on providing unique solutions to assist IDD

children and adults who have neurologically based disorders that effect behavior and cognition (Seizures, ADHD, Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cellular Dysregulation Disorders, Heavy Metal Poisoning (e.g. Lead), and other difficulties).

Within the area of Gender Identity, Dr. Bathory provides evaluations, individual and group and family psychotherapy for children and adults who are experiencing gender dysphoria, are non-binary, transgender or are intersex. Therapy here focuses on helping assist these individuals and their families with necessary evaluations and letters for medical transitioning and emotional support through their journey.

Accessing healthcare and forming a cooperative relationship with providers, funding sources (such as private insurers, or ministries of government) is an international struggle. Dr. Bathory works with both small and large practices and practitioners, to create more healthy systems of care, as well as, with Nations to redesign their healthcare systems.

Emil D Eichelberger, MSW

Emil, is a licensed clinical social worker associate. Emil graduated from James Madison University in Fairfax Virginia with their Master’s in Social Work and  their BA in Psychology. Emil provides solution focused individual, group and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. They are an associate member of the National Social Workers Association and the North Carolina Social Workers Workers Association.  They also volunteer their time to provide support to Ala-Non, and co-facilitate the transgender support groups affiliated with  the North Star GLBTQ Center of Winston-Salem and Ala-Non.

Emil’s specializations include, Gender Identity, Transgender and Non-binary Identities (as well as other GLBTQI issues),  Substance abuse in teens and young adults, psychological support for acute and chronic medical conditions such as renal failure, and other challenges.
